Obituary
Rita Mae Weiss, 78, passed away Thursday, May 28, 1998, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.
Rita, the daughter of Jim and Eleanor (Lovejoy) Gordon, was born December 28, 1919, in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended school in Des Moines. On August 28, 1938, she was united in marriage with Edward Weiss in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple made their home in Des Moines and following the Edward's discharge from the U.S. Army, the couple moved to Britt where they have since made their home. She has been a resident of the Westview Care Center since 1988. Rita was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Rita Weiss of Britt; four sons: Ed and his wife, Mickey of Kanawha, Joe and his wife, Kelly of Britt, Tim and his wife, Vickie of Kanawha, Jim and his wife, Pam of Kanawha; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister Miriam Morris of Britt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and a brother.
