Robert Perkins, 78, of Britt, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt. Funeral services for Bobby Perkins will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt. Visitation for Bobby Perkins will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Robert Forrest Perkins, the son of Raymond and Mary (Pigman) Perkins, was born May 3, 1945 in Belmond. He entered the United States Air Force in June of 1962 and was honorably discharged in June of 1966. Bobby met Marilyn Quinn when the Corwith and Wesley schools combined. The couple was married on May 16, 1963 while Bobby was home on leave from the service. They lived in Washington State until Bobby was discharged. After they moved back to Iowa, Bobby worked for Kabrick Distributing, Buns Construction and various other jobs including painting cars, doing mechanics work. Bobby is survived by sons Devery and wife Dawn, Curt and wife Michele, Bobby and wife Melissa, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and special friend Bonnie Vavrik. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, parents Raymond and Mary, brothers: Ron, Al, Jerry, Marv, Delbert, sisters: Marie, June, Joan, Alice, Ramona, Patty, Karen, Kathy.
