Robert R. Rauch, 24, of Clarion passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services for Robert Rauch will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 4:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 201 3rd Avenue North East in Clarion, with Reverend Mike Gudka officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services on Sunday, beginning at 2:00 PM at the church. Robert Rauch, son of Rodney and Brenda Rauch, was born June 29, 1994 in Clarion. As a child, Robert was involved with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He attended Clarion-Goldfield Schools, graduating with the class of 2013. He then attended Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, majoring in Diesel Technology. Robert's college internship began at Decker Truck Line. Following his time there, he worked for a short time at Eaton in Belmond, and also helped his dad at Hennigar Construction. He then returned to Decker Truck Line. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, and tinkering on anything with an engine. Most importantly, he cherished family, and would stop to help them with anything they needed. Robert is survived by his parents, Rodney Rauch and Brenda Rauch; sisters Ashley (Thomas) Keeling and Kimberly Rauch, and his grandmother Kathy Hoopingarner. Robert was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Eugene Hoopingarner, paternal grandparents Ralph and Laurine Rauch, and many aunts and uncles.
