Roger DeKruif, 59, of Britt passed away Friday, April 5, 2002 at his home in Britt.
Roger, the son of Walter and Gertrude (Stoever) DeKruif, was born May 10, 1942 in Paullina, Iowa. He attended school in Paullina and later moved to Britt.
Roger was united in marriage with Sharon Rasmuson in 1961. The couple made their home in Britt. Roger was employed for over 30 years with Hancock County Road Maintenance, most recently as foreman. He enjoyed gun collecting, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
Roger is survived by his very special friend, Betty Nelson of Britt, Iowa; daughter, Debra Studer and husband, Dennis, and children, Tony and Tara Studer of Britt, Iowa; son David DeKruif and special friend, Nancy and children, Alec and Angela DeKruif of DeLeon Springs, Florida; brothers Donald DeKruif and wife, Carolyn of Britt, Iowa, Larry DeKruif and wife, Kay of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Rodney DeKruif and wife, Sherry of Joplin, Missouri, Mike DeKruif special friend, Becky of Waterloo, Iowa; sisters Kathy Haugh and husband, Joe of Newhall, Iowa Audrey Puhrmann of Paullina, Iowa and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sharon in 1998, son James, and brothers Brad and Kenny.
