Obituary
Ronald W. Stites, 69, of Britt, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West, in Britt.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, his body has been cremated.
Ron, the son of Milton and Wilma (Johnson) Stites was born December 3, 1944. He attended and graduated from Britt High School. Following graduation he entered the Navy for six years serving four of them in Viet Nam.
He married Mary Gurzick in 1972 and had one son Daniel who was killed in an accident on October 3, 2009.
Ron is survived by two sisters: Cora Batton and Peggy Gatton; grandchildren: Brett Stites, Tanner Stites, Lani Schultz, and Alicen Wulf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Danny, one sister Phyllis Seefeld, two brothers-in-law: Melvin Batton and Terry Gatton.
