Obituary


Rosemarie Harmon, age 66, of Clarion, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2004, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Funeral services for Rosemarie Harmon will be held at 1:30PM Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the First Lutheran Church, 420 1st St NW, in Clarion with Pastor Gary Boen officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation for Rosemarie Harmon will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2004 from 5:00 until 7:00PM at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Rosemarie Harmon was born August 11, 1938 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Irvin and Freda (Sandman) Harmon.  Rosie was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the F.L.C.W. of Clarion.  She graduated from Clarion High School in 1956.

Rosie loved people and was involved in numerous church and community activities, where she utilized her baking and craft skills.  She did volunteer work for the American Diabetes Association and the Alliance for the Emotionally Handicapped.  She enjoyed collecting butterflies, angels and Elvis memorabilia.

Rosie is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Stevens and her husband Russ of Clarion, Kristine Clothier and her husband Charles of Polo, Illinois; four grandchildren; and a sister, Sondra Hecox and her husband Dale of St. Charles, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish Rosie’s memory include Diane Schroeder and Pam Watne along with their husbands, children, grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
