Obituary
Ruby Bell Zeigler, 86, a resident of the Madrid Home Communities, formerly of Kanawha, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 after a brief illness at the Boone County Hospital in Boone. In agreement with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial graveside service for Ruby Zeigler will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Amsterdam Township Cemetery in Kanawha, Iowa.
Ruby was born on May 9, 1927, in Kanawha to Albert and Bessie (Carr) Berhow. She grew up in Kanawha and continued to live in the Kanawha/Goodell area. On October 25, 1942, Ruby married Arthur Zeigler.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Roger (Margaret) Zeigler; daughter, Carol Mallory; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be made in Ruby’s name to the Madrid Home ACTS Fund – 613 W. North Street; Madrid, IA 50156.
