Ruby Cecillia (LaRose) Schoby, 90, passed away Monday, September 29, 1997, at the New Hampton Care Center in New Hampton, Iowa. Ruby, the daughter of Joseph and Eva Mae (Fuller) LaRose, was born June 22, 1907, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  She received her education in Canada.  At the age of 16, she moved to the Algona area.  On May 1, 1928, she was united in marriage with Fred W. Schoby in Algona, Iowa.  The couple made their home on a farm in Algona until 1947, when they moved to Britt and ran the Cabin Camp until their retirement in 1970.  The couple enjoyed wintering in Florida.  Ruby enjoyed doing handy work and reading.  On October 8, 1992, Fred passed away. Ruby is survived by five daughters: Joan sweers and her husband, Louie of Britt; Marjorie Schnath and her husband, Dean of Britt; Dorothy Hartinger of New Hope, MN; Linda Becker and her husband, Bernie of Hartford, SD; Kathy Munson and her husband, Larry of New Hampton; one son: Fred Schoby Jr. and hiswife, June of Latimer, IA; twenty-one grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Margaret Carson of Fort Saskatchewwan, Alberta, Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, one brother, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
