Sadie Clarice Formanek, 82, passed away Thursday, July 1, 1993 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa. Sadie was born October 23, 1910, on a farm near Kanawha, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Andrew and Clara Brown.  She was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Kanawha.  And received her education in the rural schools near her home.  She was confirmed as an adult at the First Lutheran Church in Britt. She was united in marriage on January 22, 1941 to Charlie Formanek at Blue Earth, Minnesota.  The couple made their home in Britt. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Britt, American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Survivors include three sisters: Martha Gunderson of Garner, Iowa, Bertha Jesse of Britt, Iowa, Rosetta Aitchison of Ventura, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Junice Brown of Leland, iowa; nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie in 1980, an infant daughter, Jean Jeanetter, her parents, and a brother, John.
