Sharron Colleen (Wiltse) Banwell was born July 22, 1938 to Myron and Florence Wiltse in rural Charles City. Sharron was raised and educated in the Charles City and Nashua areas, graduating from Nashua High School in 1956.

Following high school, Sharron worked various jobs and raised several children of previous marriages before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Bruce Banwell, in 1970. The couple made their home in Williams for 8 years, prior to moving to Eagle Grove, where they have resided ever since.

In July of 1971, Sharron was baptized as a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, living out the rest of her life as a faithful sister.

Sharron enjoyed scrapbooking, card making, and cooking; she was famous for her potato salad, lasagna, and rhubarb pie recipes. She collected owl figurines and loved her schnauzer, Candy. She also enjoyed watching Ellen, The Voice, Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right. She loved roller coasters and dancing and listening to music.

More than anything, Sharron loved taking care of her family. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She showered her family with unconditional love, and everyone that met her is better for having known her.

Sharron is survived by her husband, Bruce of Eagle Grove; children Jacqui (Dave) Minor of Garden City, Kansas, Rhonda (J.R.) Weilert of Garden City, Sheryl (Alan) Hiveley of Goldfield, Teresa (Rocky) Nolan of Garden City, Donnie (Nikki) Hauser of Eagle Grove, Harlan (Kathy) Barker of Des Moines, Lannette (Dale) Morisset of Springfield, Missouri and Robin (John) Orjias, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with siblings Shirley, Beverly, Carolyn and Richard.

Sharron was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Vernon and Lawrence.
