Shauna Lynn Eekhoff, 16, passed away Sunday, June 23, 1996, as a result of a car accident. Shauna, the daughter of Tom Eekhoff and Jack and Lisa Rasmussen, was born August 9, 1979, in Britt, Iowa.  She was baptized and a confirmed member in the United Methodist Church in Kanawha.  Shauna attended West Hancock High School where she would have been a Senior.  In school she was active in the chorus and in drama.  Shauna worked part-time at Tally's in Kanawha.  She liked spending time listening to music and fishing.  She also loved being with people. Shauna is survived by her father, Tom Eekhoff; her mother, Lisa and her husband, Jack Rasmussen; two sisters, Stacy Eekhoff of Princeton, MO; Kelly Eekhoff at home; twin nieces, Kaylee and Kori; maternal grandparents, Ronald Salven of Marion, IA; Marlene and Jerry Codner of Jefferson, IA; maternal great-grandparents, Steve and Violet Everett of Lakeview, AR; paternal grandparents, Ray and Dorothy Eekhoff of Kanawha, IA; step-grandmother, Ethelyn Rasmussen of Kanawha, IA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
