Shirley Marie Otto, 61, passed away Saturday, March 23, 1996, at her home in
Britt, Iowa.
Shirley was born August 28, 1934, in Livermore, Iowa, the daughter of Tom and
Maude (Martin) McKenna. She was baptized at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Livermore, Iowa. She attended Livermore public school. After completion of
school she lived in Oklahoma and worked as an X-ray technician. She then moved
to Minnesota, where she met and married Kenneth Otto on October 15, 1955. They
lived in Livermore, Iowa and moved to Kanawha, Iowa, where they lived for 30
years raising their family. Shirley has spent the past three years in Britt.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church circle.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Kenny Otto; her children, Vanetta Molencamp
and her husband, Mickey of Garner, Iowa; Peggy Miller and her husband, James of
Britt, Iowa; Thomas Otto and his wife, Deb of Kanawha, Iowa; Timothy Otto and
his wife, Mary of San Antonio, Texas; Greg Otto and his wife, Terri of Wausau,
Wisconsin; Nancy Gilbert of Clear Lake, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; one
great-grandchildren; one brother, John McKenna of Angola, Indiana; one sister,
Marilyn McKenna of Garner, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sister - Helen Peterson and
Delores Uhlenhake, two brothers - Herbert McKenna and Richard McKenna.
