Steve Royce, son of Wayne and Gloria Burrs Stille, was born on September 16, 1962 in Belmond. Affectionately known as Beaver, he grew up in Goodell and graduated from Belmond High School in 1981. After graduation Beav worked for different farm equipment dealers in the area. He farmed with his brother Gene and went on wheat runs in California and North Dakota with several friends. He also worked at Eaton, Abilene Machine, and most recently Howard Enterprises. Beav was a volunteer firefighter at Goodell for many years.

Beav loved mowing his lawn, farming, going on fishing trips, and hanging out with friends and family. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Beaver loved John Deere tractors and black lab dogs, especially his own. Beav was a friend to all and was always helping out.

Beaver is survived by brothers Gene (Diana) Stille, Mark (Ginger) Stille and Tom Stille all of Goodell; sister Lisa (Chuck) Darner of Boone; and niece and nephew Cody and Jessica.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; cousins Cale, Kevin and Andy; and uncles Mac and Marlin.
