Steven M. Twedt, 62, of Forest City, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Pilot Knob Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Forest City.

Steve was born April 9, 1958 at Estherville, Iowa to Lawrence and DeEtta Twedt. He received most of his education in Algona and finished in Nebraska City when his family moved to Nebraska.

Steve worked commercial construction for Reuben Escherich. One of the highlights there was to help in the construction of the Wells Fargo Bank in Mason City.

He loved his family, the outdoors, trout fishing, his dogs, and spending time with his friends.

Preceding him in death are his father, Lawrence; brother, Bruce in infancy; sister, Kathryn Cahill; grandparents; and significant other, Connie Rasmusson.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother DeEtta Twedt and brother David Twedt both of Belmond; step-son Eric (Brooke) and their daughter Haizley Millard of Mason City; along with cousins, other relatives and friends.
