Sylvester A. Zrostlik, 78, of Britt passed away Friday, September 22, 2000 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Sylvester A. Zrostlik was born November 7, 1921 to Mike and Barbara (Vavrik) Zrostlik on a farm near Duncan in Hancock County.  He was united in marriage with Magda Egts on February 16, 1938 at Duncan, Iowa.  The couple farmed in Hancock County.  In 1974, they moved to a farm near Jesup, Iowa, where they farmed for eleven years.  In 1985, they retired and moved to Britt.  Magda passed away in December of 1997.  Sylvester became a resident at Westview Care Center in Britt in June of 2000. He is survived by his children: Robert Zrostlik and his wife, Jackie of Waterloo, Richard Zrostlik and his wife, Joanne of Shell Rock, Joan Enriquez and her husband, Frank of Des Moines, Janice Zrostlik of Des Moines, Betty Harms and her husband, Harris of Burt and James Zrostlik and his wife, Ju of Korea; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren; and one brother Pete Zrostlik and his wife Imogene of Britt. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Magda in 1997, four brothers and three sisters.
