Obituary
Synneva Abbas, 89, of Kanawha passed away Saturday, June 2, 2001 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Synneva, the daughter of Abel and Mary (Fosen) Omvig was born January 30, 1912 in Kanahwa. Synneva was a lifelong resident of Kanawha.
She was united in marriage with Bernard Abbas September 4, 1933 at the Kanawha Lutheran Church. To this union four children were born: Harvey, Marjorie, Ronald and Roger.
Synneva was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church where she was employed as custodian for many years. Synneva enjoyed embroidering and cross-stitching.
Synneva is survived by two grandsons: Alan Abbas and his wife, Tammy and their sons, Aaron, Zachary, and Douglas Abbas and his wife, Misty, and their two sons, Adam and Trevor; three sisters: Ovedia Michelson and her husband, Ernest, Cecelia Roskamp and Mabel Peterson; two brothers: John Omvig and Arthur Omvig and his wife, Marjorie, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard in 1952, sons Harvey in 1983, Ronald and Roger in 1949, daughter Marjorie in 1958, sister Alice Asche in 1985, and two brothers Jospeh in 1986 and Oren in 1973.
