Terry "Toad" W. Hinkel

Terry “Toad” Wayne Hinkel, 62, of Clarion passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Funeral services for Terry Hinkel will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street in Clarion with Pastor Warren Curry officiating.

Visitation for Terry Hinkel will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and encouraged to wear a face covering.

Terry “Toad” Wayne Hinkel was born April 5, 1958 to William and Virginia Hinkel. He attended Ottumwa community schools, graduating from Ottumwa High School in 1976. He married Colleen Hinkel on April 26, 2014.

Terry resided in Ottumwa, Iowa most of his life.

Terry is survived by his wife, Colleen, of Clarion; his children Jenifer (Brian) Allison, Victoria (Tom Wilt) Hinkel, Brandi (Brian) Chapin, and Daniel Hinkel, all of Ottumwa; 5 grandchildren, Kele Allison, Alexis (Riley Thompson) and Taryn Jay, and Kiya and Kaylyn Chapin; 1 great-grandchild, Silas Jay Thompson; his siblings, Lynn (Rod) Shumate of Bloomfield, Iowa, Gary (Becky) Hinkel of Princeton, Minnesota, and Lori (Jim) Irwin of Tampa, Florida; and many other family members and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
