Thomas J. Ring, 69, of Clarion, Iowa, passed away September 5, 2023 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at St. John's Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue North East in Clarion, with Father Jerry Blake officiating.  A Rosary will begin at 1:00 PM with visitation to follow until Mass on Thursday at the church. Thomas James Ring, the son of George and Mary Ellen (Staley) Ring, was born April 14, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Tri-Center High School in Neola, Iowa with the class of 1972. After high school, Tom embraced his free spirit and moved around the country and worked various jobs. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and pool, puzzles and cooking for other people. He was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders and the Iowa State Cyclones. He is preceded in death by his father George Ring, three sisters, Cathy Ring and infant twins Margaret and Marion, and brother Dennis Ring.
