Thomas TerHark

Thomas TerHark, 76, passed away December 12, 1995, at the Kanawha Community Nursing Home.

Thomas, the son of Anno TerHark and Jennie Aalderks was born March 25, 1919, Wright County.  He attended country school and Kanawha High School and graduated in 1940.  He was united in marriage with Verle Zeigler on January 25, 1947 at the Kanwha Methodist Parsonage.  They made their home first in Clarion and then in the Kanawha area.  He worked as a mechanic for several years.  Upon retirement, he enjoyed fishing and tinkering with small engines.  He loved his family very much and and his grandchildren were very special to him.  He also enjoyed helping his son on the farm.

Thomas is survived by his wife Verle.  Two daughters: Dianne Daniels of Belmond and Joyce Johnson and her husband David of Kanawha.  Two sons: Dennis and his wife Marilyn of Kanawha and Jerry and his wife Carol of Springfield, Missouri. Eleven grandchildren: Brent, Brad, Barry, Todd, Mitch, Anthony, Robert, RoxAnne, Ashley, Angela and Nicole. Three great-grandchildren: Alan, Michelle and Andrea.  Three sisters: Sadie Swenson of Belmond, Helena Kurtz of Belmond, and Jennie Eygabroad and her husband Harry of Dayton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and seven brothers.
