Timothy A. Schultz, 67, of Clarion, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services for Tim Schultz will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Clarion United Church of Christ Congregational, 121 3rd Avenue North West, in Clarion, with Pastor Nicole Woodley officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church. Timothy Allan Schultz was born June 7, 1956 to Henry and Jessie (Dawkins) Schultz in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School with the Class of 1974. Tim was united in marriage to Stephanie Long on October 18, 1975 at the Clarion United Church of Christ Congregational. The couple, along with their daughter, Briana, made their home in Eagle Grove, before moving to Clarion. Following his graduation from high school, Tim enlisted in the Army National Guard. He later attended police academy in Des Moines, serving as a police officer in Eagle Grove, Goldfield, Clarion and Dows, and later attended cosmetology school. He worked a variety of other jobs around the area, until a number of health challenges forced into early retirement. Tim was a longtime member of the Clarion United Church of Christ Congregational, having been baptized as an adult alongside his daughter, Briana. Tim loved riding motorcycles, and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Blue Knights, a group of riders who worked in law enforcement. In his younger years, he enjoyed watching professional wrestling, and later in life, he enjoyed attending renaissance fairs in Minnesota and Iowa with his family. Spending time with his wife, daughter and grandbunnies was his favorite. Tim is survived by his wife, Stephanie Schultz of Clarion; his daughter Briana Schultz of Clarion; his brothers Marion (Lucille) Wise, Melvin Wise, Larry (Sandy Schultz) and Paul (Beth) Schultz; along with a large number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, other extended family members and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Donna (Francis) Hossman and Katherine (David) Niswander; his niece Kay Jessen; his nephews Dean Niswander and Steve Niswander; great-great nephew Brandon Zigrang; and great nephew-in-law, Jean Zigrang.
