Tony Wright

Tony Wright, 41, of Britt, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Funeral services for Tony Wright will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Britt Christian Reformed Church - At The Crossroads Ministries, 569 Main Avenue North in Britt with Pastor Joel DeBoer officiating.  Interment will be at a later date.

Visitation for Tony Wright will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.   

Tony the son of Randall and Terry (Pattschull) Wright was born on October 25, 1972 in Mason City, Iowa.  In 1982, the family moved to Britt where Tony attended school, graduating from West Hancock in 1991.  Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for five and a half years being honorably discharged in 1996.  Following his discharge he attended Trade School in Texas.

He was then employed as a heavy equipment operator for 12 years.  Later he attended NIACC in Mason City. Tony was currently employed at Eaton Corporation in Belmond.

In 1992, he was united in marriage to Belinda in Washington.  To this union a son Trevor was born.

Tony enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, and grilling.

Tony is survived by his son Trevor, serving in the United States Air Force in England; his father Randy and his wife, Ramona Wright of Britt; brother, Chad (Michelle) Tue and their children Nathan and Sydney of Britt; significant other, Nicholle Erdahl and her son Parker of Britt; numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Terry; maternal and paternal grandparents; and brother Casey Lou Wright in 1994.

Tony lived more in his 41 years than most people live in a lifetime.
