Obituary


Troy L. Lambert, 47, of Clarion, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at his home in Clarion.

Memorial services for Troy Lambert will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, with Pastor Chris Whitehead officiating.

Visitation for Troy Lambert will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Ewing Funeral Home in Clarion.

Troy Lee Lambert was born October 26, 1971 in Spencer, Iowa to Shirley (Jorpeland) Lambert-Garrett and was raised and educated in Spencer by Shirley and Steve Garrett, graduating from Spencer High School in 1989.

Troy worked in the agricultural industry his entire life, working with livestock and most recently as a heavy equipment operator with Farm Nutrients at Centrum Farms near Clarion.

Troy loved watching NASCAR races, cheering on Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and his beloved Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. He enjoyed fishing, a hobby he held since childhood, and was known for his excellent smoked meats. He enjoyed watching nature shows and action and comedy movies, but most of all, spending time with his family and laughing and sharing his witty comebacks with them.

Troy will be lovingly remembered as a stubborn, hard-working man who loved his family and loved being around them.

Troy is survived by his fiancée, Jessica Lockwood-McVay of Clarion; children Tyler (Linda) Troia of Springfield, Missouri, Austin (Kailey) Inman of Spencer, Iowa, Kaitlyn (Marcelo Wright) Starner of Little Canada, Minnesota, Maggie Lambert of Sanborn, Iowa, and Tristan Lambert of Clarion; Jessica’s children Jaidyn Lockwood, Jayce McVay and Sage McVay of Clarion; grandchildren Tyson, Emmett, Avery and Bryson Troia and Aleah, Talin, Lucas and Emeri Inman; father Steve (Elaine) Garrett of Burt; brothers Steve (Laurie) Garrett of Boone, Iowa and Tony (Sherry) Garrett of Fostoria, Iowa; along with numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley, his grandmother Elsie Jorpeland along with his other grandparents.
