Vera Robinson, 101, of Clarion passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Careage of Clarion in Clarion, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street in Clarion. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the church. Vera was born Vera Irene Tillman, the daughter of Wil and Minnie (Sellers) Tillman, on December 23, 1909 on a farm south of Clarion.  She graduated from Clarion High School. On May 24, 1931, Vera was united in marriage with Loyd Joseph Robinson.  Together they lived in Clarion and raised five children. Vera was an active member of the Clarion Church of Christ and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Loyd passed away on September 28, 1981.  Vera and Loyd had celebrated 50 years of marriage that previous May. In 2008, Vera moved to The Meadows Assisted Care and recently moved to Careage of Clarion. Vera is survived by her children Richard (Jeanette) Robinson, Bill (Frances) Robinson, Roger (Peggy) Robinson, and Janet (John) Arndorfer; grandchildren Tim (Ruth) Robinson, Greg (Kim) Robinson, James (Keli) Robinson, Travis (Sarah) Robinson, Darren (Reina) Robinson, Christine (Kurt) Larson, Thomas (Beth) Arndorfer, Michael Arndorfer, Angela (Adam) Price; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Vera is preceded in death by her parents Wil and Minnie Tillman, husband Loyd, daughter Shirley, brother Kenneth and his wife Hazel Tillman, nephew Jerry Tillman, and a brother-in-law Merritt Partlow.
