Vicki Lynn, daughter of Raymond “Ray” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Osborne) Sullivan, was born on January 7, 1952 in New Richmond, Wisconsin, where she grew up on a farm. She attended and graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1970.

What started as a blind date arranged by Mark’s brother, Bob, and Vicki’s friend, Sue, became the beginning of their life together. Mark and Vicki were united in marriage on August 25, 1972. They made their home in Belmond, where they lived in the same house for 54 years.

Vicki worked for many years as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at the family-owned North Central Grain Company in Belmond. She continued working with the business after it was sold to St. Ansgar Mills. Vicki later worked at Sparboe Farms in Goodell and eventually at North Central Co-op in Clarion. She retired in 2017. Throughout her career, Vicki was known for her meticulous attention to detail.

Her family always came first, and she was known for caring deeply for those around her. Over the years, Vicki welcomed family and friends into her home for holiday gatherings that were always filled with love, laughter, and more food than anyone could possibly eat. She found great joy in baking for her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time gardening, researching genealogy, and various crafting projects - making ceramics, cross-stitching, quilting, and scrapbooking. Vicki was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she faithfully served with the Catholic Daughters of America and taught religious education classes for many years.

Vicki is survived by her husband Mark Whitty of Belmond; children Colleen (Nathan) Becker of Marion and Kevin (Beth) Whitty of North Liberty; grandchildren Blake Whitty and Gretta Whitty; sisters Kathleen Mickelson, Susan (David) Schwertel, and Sheila Clark; brother Michael Sullivan; brothers-in-law David (Pat) Whitty, Richard (Sue) Whitty, Cary (Renee) Whitty, and Dan Whitty (Stacey Kacek); sister-in-law Sue Whitty; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Betty Sullivan; parents-in-law Thomas and Carol Whitty; and brother-in-law Thomas R. Whitty.
