Victoria “Tori” Ann Hiscocks, daughter of Donald L “Sniffy” Hiscocks and Sharon (Lawson) Hiscocks was born on January 19, 1960.
Tori attended Britt Community Schools. After school, Tori married James McNeese and to this union 3 children were born, Royal James “RJ”, Branda Lee and Mark Alan. After Branda’s passing Tori and James eventually divorced and Tori lived in various states until landing in Oklahoma to be near her mother, Sharon and sister Lora and family. Eventually Mark came to live with her there as well.
Tori had a heart of gold and would help anyone. She didn’t mince words and wasn’t afraid to call a spade a spade. You always knew where you stood with Tori and how she felt.
Throughout her life, she spent time working as a CNA at Westview Care Center and various other care facilities, as a front desk clerk for the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Department office and later once they moved back to Britt, her and Lora owned and managed the Red Rooster a/k/a Cocky’s until 2018 after selling the bar she was in housekeeping at the Summit House for a short time as well as doing some home health care.
Tori loved dirt track racing and the Britt Draft Horse Show. Racing was a sport her father and several other relatives used to do as well. She also enjoyed camping, grilling and cooking, gardening, country music and especially tending to her animals; Friesian horse “Valen” & heifer “Kisses” alongside Jayden Johanson. Her and Lora were avid Kid Rock fans and attended many concerts and also hosted the band Farm Rock several times at the bar including delicious breakfasts after.
Tori and Lora did so much together, usually where you saw one, you saw the other. They were more than sisters, they were best friends, roommates and business partners and Lora was her “rock” and sounding board.
After losing Lora 8-4-21, stepmom Gloria 10-3-21 and Donald 12-28-21 all in such a short (5 month) period of time ,Tori’s world as she knew it changed forever and her son Mark then became her new stability and rock and handyman whom she relied on and she was eternally grateful for.
Tori gracefully faced many challenges in her life, on May 8, 2023 she lost her vision and became legally blind due to a condition she was born with Optic Nerve Neuropathy, thankfully it waited until later in life to present itself. Despite this challenge compounded with her Diabetes and Bell’s Palsy, Tori continued to plug away at life with her spunk and determination. On January 14, Tori suffered a massive stroke which paralyzed her entire left side. After her stroke we saw that spunk and sass slowly diminish with several setbacks until the sparkle in her eyes finally left on the evening of June 16, 2025.
Tori was a hard worker and she was a great friend to all and will be missed by everyone lucky enough to know her. In February of 24 she was able to cross an item off her bucket list and went on a trip to Hawaii with Harley and Jill, (and friends Joan Johanson, Jane Johnson and Angela Ausborn) for Jill’s 50th birthday. That was a wonderful adventure for her to “experience” despite being vision challenged. She was able to go to Pearl Harbor, enjoy all the wonderful ethnic food at an Authentic Hawaiian Luau as well as dip her toes in the Pacific Ocean. These are memories we will cherish forever.
Tori is survived by her two sons, Royal James McNeese II (Amanda) of Clear Lake, IA and Mark McNeese (fiancée Jill Grunske) of Corwith, IA, Ex-Daughter-in-law Jill Goodhue & husband Kane (Stretch), her bonus son-in-law of Britt and five Grandchildren Harley, Nolan, Autumn, Benjamin and Camron, Bonus grandchildren; Randall, Brennen & Charli; Nephew Shawn Hiscocks and his son Shawn and Niece Shamarie (Britian) Oxley and children Eli Rivas and Danica Oxley, as well as many, many other countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tori was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Sharon, Stepmother Gloria, Sister Lora and daughter Branda Lee and many aunts and uncles.
A very special heartfelt thank you to Joe Hiscocks for taking care of Mom these past few years. You were a great cousin to accept the task of making sure all of Tori’s needs got taken care of. We appreciate everything you did for her.
