Vicy M. Rasmussen

Vicy M. Rasmussen, 91, of Clarion passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Ramsey Village in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Vicy Rasmussen will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street in Clarion, with Pastor Warren Curry officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Vicy Mae Rasmussen was born November 10, 1929, to Louis and Iva Mae (Goodman) Wooten in Clarion, Iowa. She was raised in Clarion and graduated from Clarion High School.

Vicy retired after many years with the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She spent her retirement years watching the Cyclones and Hawkeyes, playing cards, and putting jigsaw puzzles together. During the Christmas season she enjoyed the lights and decorations.

Vicy is survived by her daughter Teressa Hollister (Dave Booth) of Des Moines, son Ricky Rasmussen of Oklahoma City, daughter Cleo (James) Meisch, grandson Joshua Hollister, granddaughter Mindysue Hollister, great granddaughter Jaelyn Hollister, all of Des Moines, along with relatives and friends.

Vicy was preceded in death by her husband Leo, son Willie, her parents, brother Edward and infant brother and sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarion Church of Christ where she was a life-long member.
