Obituary


Vincent A. Kreitinger, 80, of Lakeview, Arkansas, a former longtime Britt businessman, passed away Friday, November 30, 1990 at the Bull Shools Community Hospital after suffering a stroke and heart attack on November 24, 1990.

Mr. Kreitinger, the son of Joseph and Augusta Kreitinger was born December 12, 1909 at Springfield, Minnesota.  He served in World War II from 1942 to 1945.  In 1938 he moved to Britt and purchased the former Vincent Hardware Store.

On October 2, 1940 he was united in marriage with Evalyn Trulson.  The couple made their home in Britt.  In December of 1950 they adopted two girls.  In November of 1977 Vincent sold the hardware store to Jon Swenson of Britt and retired in 1980. In 1982 the couple moved to Lakeview, Arkansas.

Vincent was a member of the St. Peter, the Fishermen's Catholic Church at Mountain Home.  He was a former member of the Rotary and Lions Club at Britt.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Evalyn Kreitinger of Lakeview, Arkansas; two daughters: Margaret Holdefer and her husband, Howard, and Judith Smith and her husband, Clem all of Cresco, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sisters, Genevieve Kreitinger of West St. Paul, Minnesota.
