Violet G. Trulson

Violet G. Trulson, 90, of Britt passed away Monday, January 15, 2002, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.

Violet, the daughter of Chris and Mary (Brovold) Anderson, was born November 20, 1911 in Ottosen.  She received her education in the Ottosen School, and graduated from Ottosen High School.  Following graduation, she moved to Britt to help her sister operate the Ellison Hotel.

She was united in marriage with Ted Trulson on October 17, 1931 at the Bethel Baptist Parsonage in Britt.  The couple made their home in Britt.  Violet was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Camp for many years.  She also was employed as a receptionist for Ewing Funeral Home.

Violet was a very religious person.  She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Britt and the ladies circle.

Violet is survived by two sons: David of Britt and Richard and his wife, Pat of Britt; three grandchildren: Jennifer Gebhart and her husband, J.R. of Ankeny, Chad Trulson of Huntsville, Texas and Chris Trulson of Kerrville, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted in 1977, two sisters and two brothers.
