Virginia M. Rice, 67, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 1990 at the Burlington Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. Virginia, the daughter of Hugh M. and Gladys (Horstman) Rice, was born on November 14, 1922 in Britt, Iowa and graduated from the Britt High School in 1940.  She moved to Burlington in 1946 and was office manager for Shelby Produce Co. and Central Soya Inc. She started working in the installment loan department of the First National Bank in 1968 and became an investment officer, retiring January 31, 1990. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Burlington and was a member of its Board of Trustees.  She was also a member of the Burlington Golf Club. Virginia is survived by one brother, Norman "Jiggs" L. Rice of Mason City, Iowa; three nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.
