Obituary
Wayne A. Streeter, 77, passed away Thursday, November 11, 1993, at the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, Iowa, where he had been a resident for three years.
Wayne, the son of Arthur and Mary (Mason) Streeter, was born June 9, 1916 in Warren County, Iowa. He received his education in the country schools.
On August 15, 1940, he was united in marriage to Hazel Hersbergen. The couple farmed for many years in the Woden area. He retired due to ill health in 1970 and moved into Britt.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Britt. He loved farming and his livestock.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Streeter of Britt, Iowa; two daughters, Joyce Streeter of Britt, Iowa, and Diana Pelham of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; two sons, Dwayne Streeter of Carmel, Indiana and Dwight Streeter of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Lela Willey of McGregor, Minnesota and Ila Veldhouse of Clarion, Iowa; nine grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Bonnie St. John and an infant son, Ronald.
