Wayne Berhow, 72, of Kanawha passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Hancock
County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Funeral services for Wayne Berhow will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM
at the Ewing Funeral Home 118 East Second Street in Kanawha, with Pastor
Geoffrey White officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at
Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street in Kanawha.
Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and
encouraged to wear a face covering.
Wayne Albert Berhow, the son of Galen and Elsie (Olthoff) Berhow, was born on
December 2, 1948 in Belmond, Iowa. The family moved to Kanawha where he was
raised. He graduated from Kanawha High School with the class of 1968.
Shortly after high school, Wayne was united in marriage with Rosalyn Ann Hanson
at the Kanawha Lutheran Church on June 8, 1968. To this union, three children
were born David, Kelly and Dena.
Wayne was employed with Winnebago Industries in the cabinet department for over
30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside playing softball, water
skiing and riding his bicycle. He loved camping with his family and most of all
spending time with his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years Rose Berhow of Kanawha; children David
(Coleen) Berhow of Osage, Iowa, Kelly (Neola) Berhow of Manchester, Iowa and
Dena (Mark) Hejlik of Britt; grandchildren Taylor, Cody, Shelby, Hannah, Emma
and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren Hudson, Carter and Miller, and brother
Eugene (Rhonda) Berhow.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean.
