Wayne Eugene Kreitlow was born on November 22, 1942 in Clarion to Warren and Dorothy (Wason) Kreitlow. He was one of four children.

He was raised in Clarion where he graduated with the Class of 1960. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War as part of the Military Police until he was honorably discharged in 1966.

Wayne was previously married to Terry Kreitlow. They had four children.

Wayne volunteered on the Clarion Fire Department from 1971-1975 and worked at Evans Furniture, Massey Ferguson, and the State Highway Division from 1973-1983 until he opened Wayne’s Tap. After 15 years, he sold the bar and retired.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and scraping metal and older buildings, but he especially loved his daily coffee group and going to auctions around the area.

Wayne connected with anyone he met – always starting his conversations with, “where are you from” or “what’s the price of gas where you are from.”

He was a great listener, and always supported his children. Wayne was always one to lend a helping hand.

Wayne is survived by his daughters Barb Dillon, Kaari Kreitlow, and Kathy Silvestre; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Colin, Kyle, Austin, Rory, Parker, Ashton, Leonardo, Marilena, Santiago, Efren Jr., Graciela; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carrie, Bruce, Iris; and many family members and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and his son Wade in 2015.
