Wendell A. Noah, 94, of Belmond, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at
Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the
Belmond United Methodist Church, 1031 1st Street South East in Belmond, with
Pastor Leila Blackburn officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery,
rural Bristow.
Wendell A. Noah was born Feb. 26th, 1928 near Floyd Iowa the son of Arno Lyle
Noah and Mary Alta Ponto.
Wendell graduated from Floyd High School and joined the Army after graduation.
Wendell was stationed in Japan and married Ayaku Kudo . In this union a daughter
Sue Ellen was born. After he was discharged from the Service, he had a divorce
from his first wife. Wendell then was joined in marriage to Hazel Truax and in
this union Hazel and Wendell had three (3) daughters, Janelle, Shirley, Marilyn
and one son, Kim. Hazel then passed and Wendell married Eleanor "Mickey" Card.
Wendell worked many years as a welder for the Terex Corporation in Waverly, Iowa
and retired from Terex. Wendell enjoyed Bowling, Camping, and watching Iowa
Hawkeye Basketball and Football games and going on Mission Trips to Mexico with
the Methodist Church.
Living family members include his children Sue Ellen (Bill) Hotzel, Janelle
(Robert) Arenholz, Shirley(Dennis) Schwab, Marilyn(David) Hopes and Kim(Monica)
Noah, Mickey's children Jane Ferch, Ann(Don) McWilliams, Mary Lou Shaw,
Celia(Randy) Feltus, Ruth(Greg) Hallett, Tami Wright, Amy(Randy) Bosser and
numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and
sister Marion Bumgardner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wayne and Vernon, sister
Maxine Chastain, his first wife Ayaku Kudo, second wife Hazel, and third wife
Mickey.
