Wilhelmine E. (Kriens) Vestweber, 99, of Belmond, passed away on Wednesday,
March 2, 2022 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Ewing
Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond, with Pastor Nancy Hofmeister
officiating. Burial will take place at Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery, rural
Belmond.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Monday.
Wilhelmine Elizabeth, the oldest daughter of John and Minnie (Meints) Kriens,
was born in Wright County on August 12, 1922. She grew up in the Belmond area
and attended country school in Pleasant Township and graduated from Belmond High
School in 1941.
On January 19, 1942, Wilhelmine was united in marriage to Otto Vestweber of
Alexander. The couple was blessed with six children.
Wilhelmine and Otto loved to play cards with friends and family. Wilhelmine was
a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was important to her and she
loved them dearly. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her family especially loved
her homemade cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies.
Wilhelmine is survived by her children Bonnie Brunotte of Tucson, Arizona, Jerry
Vestweber of Mount Prospect, Illinois, Betty Vestweber of Rowan, Dennis (Sandy)
Vestweber of Leland, and Keith (Brenda) Vestweber of Winterset; 10
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister Joan
Clark of Belmond; sisters-in-law Florence Kriens of Clear Lake and Linda Kriens
of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Otto in 2003; infant son Roger; parents
John and Minnie Kriens; sisters Dorothy Quint and Phyllis Baumgartner; brothers
Kenneth Kriens and Richard Kriens; great-granddaughters Tiffany and Chyann
Banta.
