Obituary
William "Bill" J. Green, 83, passed away Thursday, September 5, 1991 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.
Bill, the son of Elmer C. and Grace E. Brewer Green was born January 26, 1908 in Sherman Township, Kossuth County, Iowa. He was raised on a farm and attended the country schools in Kossuth County.
On February 18, 1930 he was united in marriage with Anna E. Pfeffer at Algona. The couple made their home in the Wesley area until moving to Britt in 1959.
Bill enjoyed his family, gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his children: Lorraine McCurry and her husband, Jerry of Humboldt, Iowa; William J. Green, Jr. of Fremont, Ohio; Darrell Green and his wife, Rita of Algona, Iowa; Elmer "Tom" Green of Britt, Iowa; Darlene Kadlecik and her husband, Ronald of Waterford, Connecticut; Terry Green and his wife, Lucy of Helena, Oregon; Jeanne Cink and her husband, Jim of Britt, Iowa; Wayne Green and his wife, Shirley of Crane Hill, Alabama; 38 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edith Shepard of Sheffield, Iowa; a special friend, Donna Sillman of Britt, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna who passed away April 7, 1979; a son, Gary who passed away in 1978; a daughter, Gloria Arend who passed away in 1990; one grandson and two brothers.
