Wyladene M. (Potter) Bisgrove
Wyladene M. Bisgrove, 83, of Clarion passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at Careage of Clarion.
Wyladene Marie Bisgrove, the daughter of Maxfield and Marie (Hilpipre) Potter, was born November 19, 1925 at the family home in Galt, Iowa. She was raised on the farm and attended school in Galt, graduating from Galt High School in 1943. Following her graduation she worked for the FBI in Washington D.C., returned home to attend AIB in Des Moines and work at First National Bank in Clarion.
Wyladene was united in marriage with Cleo “Biz” Bisgrove on November 19, 1944. On December 31, 1958 their son Robert Dean was born. Robert was tragically killed in a plane crash during a snowstorm on December 7, 1982. In September 2002 Wyladene and Biz moved to The Meadows in Clarion.
Wyladene was very passionate about and generous towards her family. She was outgoing, friendly, very giving, meticulous and orderly. Wyladene enjoyed her community and being a community leader.
Wyladene was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion. She loved cooking, baking and was a very hard worker both on the farm and in everyday living.
Wyladene is survived by her sister, Norma Jean Newman and her husband Dick of Mesa, Arizona along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cleo “Biz” and son Robert.
