Betty Dorothy (Marshall) Fibikar was born to Ella Ethel Marshall and Herman Ralph Marshall on February 5, 1927 in Clarion, Iowa.

Betty graduated from Clarion High School in 1945.

August 12, 1949 Betty married Richard Fibikar at The Little Brown Church.  They built a life together farming from 1949 to 2004.

Betty loved farming and family.  Rich and Betty enjoyed working and traveling at the same time.  Their travels together made many stops at family and friends across the 50 states.  In their free time their camper could be found parked at Prairie Flower Camp Grounds, where again friends and family were always welcome.  Betty was best known for her kindness whether it be cooking meals for neighbors or just comforting friends and family in times of celebration or in sorrow.

Betty is survived by her children Bonnie (Don) Swanson of Des Moines, Iowa and Gloria (Vance) Holland of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Michelle (Dominic Miller) Swanson of Centennial, Colorado, Melissa (Martin) Ganzel of Des Moines,  Iowa, Eric (Jill) Fibikar of Lawler, Iowa, Jason (Dominique) Holland of Houston, Texas, Stephanie Holland of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren: Genevieve Miller (Michelle), Jonathan Mikus (Stephanie), Henry Miller (Michelle), Emmy Fibikar (Eric), Kellan Holland (Jason), Logan Fibikar (Eric), Ryland Holland (Jason), and Jack Ganzel (Melissa); and two sisters Inez Hanig and Phyllis (Daryl) Zwiefel.
