Obituary
Ann Leerar, 83, passed away Monday, January 8, 1996, in Forest City, Iowa.
Ann was born October 6, 1912, in Wright County near Kanawha, Iowa, the daughter of James and Katie (Bakker) Davids. She attended county schools in Norway Township.
On January 29, 1936, she was united in marriage with William "Bill" Leerar in Waterloo, Iowa. The couple made their home on a farm near Britt until 1944. They then moved southwest of Crystal Lake until 1972, when they then moved into Crystal Lake.
Ann enjoyed sewing, reading and current events. She also enjoyed keeping up on what her grandchildren were doing in school. Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake and the Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill"; her children: Raymond Leerar and his wife, Beverly of Alsip, IL; Marvin Leerar and his wife, Catherine of Clifton, VA; Roger Leerar and his wife, Marilyn of Britt, IA; Kathryn Crotty of Wauwatosa, WI; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six brothers: Bert Davids of San Diego, CA; William Davids and his wife, Irene of Belmond, IA; Marienus Davids and his wife, Roselyn of Spring Valley, MN; John Davids and his wife, Neva of San Diego, CA; L. Robert Davids and his wife, Yvonne of Washington D.C.; Donald Davis and his wife, Sue of Elkhart, IN; and one sister: Della Davids of Iowa City, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lena.
