Obituary
Collin A. Boen, 22, of Clarion passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at his home in Clarion.
Funeral services for Collin Boen will be held Monday, May 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Clarion with Pastor Tim Platt and Fr. Chris Podhajsky officiating. Burial will be in Strombeck Cemetery in Montevideo, MN, on Tuesday May 8th, at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Collin Andrew Boen, son of Pastor Gary Boen of Clarion, Iowa, and Sandra (Walstrom) Boen of St. Cloud, Minnesota, was born April 23, 1985 in Duluth, Minnesota. The family lived in Pelican Rapids, International Falls, and Clearbrook, Minnesota, before moving to Clarion.
Collin loved writing poems, drawing, nature, basketball, and bicycling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Pastor Gary Boen of Clarion, IA, and Sandra Boen of St. Cloud, MN; one brother, Ryan Boen of St. Cloud, MN; grandparents, Orlean Boen of Karlstad, MN, and Joyce Walstrom of Montevideo, MN; aunts and uncles, Steven (Marsha) Walstrom, of Montevideo, MN; Tim (Amy) Walstrom, of Maplewood, MN; and, Linda (Herb) Cargill, of Shelton, WA; and five cousins, Shannon and Wendy Walstrom of Montevideo, MN, Ellie and Will Walstrom of Maplewood, MN, Joshua Gnerer of Madison, WI, Zachary (Marie) Cargill of Olympia, WA, and Eric Cargill of Kansas City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce Boen and Stirling Walstrom; and one brother, Mitch Boen.
