Danny S. Pearl

Danny S. Pearl, age 58, of Knoxville, Iowa formerly of Dows, passed away March 8, 2006 at the V.A. Medical Center in Knoxville, IA. He was born April 4, 1947 in Belmond to parents Eli and Helen Tudor Pearl. He attended school in Dows and graduated in 1965. He then entered the Air Force serving until 1968 when he was discharged because of his father’s death. He returned to Dows and then lived in Clarion before moving to Ft. Dodge where he remained for several years. Danny then moved to Texas and Alabama where he lived until returning back to Iowa, to live near his sister Sally. Danny was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling, reading, and being with friends. He is survived by his sister Sally and her husband Jeff Meyer of Newton, two nieces; Candace and her husband, Troy Honeycutt of Grinnell, Jessica Meyer of Newton, one nephew Nathan Meyer of Newton, two great nephews, Ean and Evan Honeycutt of Grinnell, one daughter Annie and her husband Todd Reynolds of Ft. Dodge, three grandchildren; Tiffany and her husband, Brett Goebel, Nick Pearl, and Amanda Colby all of Ft. Dodge, one great granddaughter Else Mae Simonson of Ft. Dodge, one aunt Marjorie Tudor of Charles City and close friends in Oskaloosa, Texas and Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
