Dean will be very much missed by us. He had a very good sense of humor and was extremely personable. We had Dean, Carolyn and Joe, Dale & Steven to our home many years ago. We found adventure at the Henry Ford Home and a western town in Irish Hills. We can't say enough about Dean and Carolyn except to say that we loved them and their family.

Dean married my best friend, Carolyn, and he showed me her engagement ring before asking her to marry him. They were wonderful friends of ours over the years.. I’m so sorry he’s passed…..he was just a great human being!

I couldn’t say it better than my sister, Beth Penn. Dean was a wonderful man who seemed to always have a smile and a story. He will be missed. Prayers for his family. RIP Dean.

I first met Dean (and his sister Carol) in country school in the fall of 1944 when I attended first grade at Lake Number 5. My sister Karen was a year ahead of me. Because Dean was three years ahead of me he was like a grown up boy. Carol and I both graduated from Clarion High School in 1957 and later were both at Iowa State about the same time. Dean began farming with his father and was very successful. I recall sometimes stopping in at my Grandfathers farm (Nels Koltvet) and is son Steve would come out and visit with me. I did see Dean at the June gathering in the Clarion Park occasionally. He never changed. Some time I would just call him on the telephone and chat. He kept me in formed about Carol and where she lived (Arizona I believe) I visited a fried at the Clarion Care center to visit. She told me to go across the hall and visit Lois (his mother) When I walked in she called me by name. Dean was a very nice person and successful in everything he did.

My condolences to the entire Keller family on the passing of an admired cousin. He left many good memories for all of us! Mostly I remember that wonderful smile and his amusement in relating some of his youthful antics. His example of a Christian man were admirable. His obvious love of family and pitching in when help was needed. Just dropping in on family just to connect and catch up on family news. I have only good memories of the entire Keller family. I know he will be missed by all of us. Wish I could be there for the celebration of his life but due to neurology appointments for Don on Monday it is impossible. I will be with you all in my thoughts and prayers! Beth
