Obituary
Duane Neal Monson, 50, passed away, Monday, December 14, 1998 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital, in Britt, Iowa.
Duane, the son of Wilbur and Frances (Judd) Monson, was born September 4, 1948, at Mason City, Iowa. He attended Algona Schools, graduating in 1965. He moved to Cedar Rapids where he was united in marriage with Kathy Reeves. The couple later moved to Kossuth County, where Duane worked as a mechanic. Duane was united in marriage with Rose Wurth in Remsen, Iowa in 1979. In 1991 the family moved to Britt, where Duane established Main Street Repair.
Duane is survived by his wife Rose of Britt, IA; three sons: David, his wife Tammy and grandson Gunnar of Keystone, IA; Dough of St. Louis Park, MN; and Ron of Britt, IA; his mother Frances Monson of Whittemore, IA; two brothers: Ron and his wife Linda of LuVerne, IA; and Jim and his wife Marcia of Algona, IA; one niece and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and brother Roger.
