Obituary
Earnest W. Abels, 67, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
Earnest, the son of Ralph and Trena (Ohden) Abels, was born October 12, 1925 in Ellsworth, Iowa. He moved with his parents to a farm near Kanawha. He received his education in the Kanawha country schools.
On March 22, 1948 he was united in marriage with Doris Daggett at Clarion, Iowa. The couple farmed near Kanawha. He owned and operated a Repair Service. In 1976 the couple moved into Kanawha.
He was a member of the Wright Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ralph Jr. in 1948.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; three sons: Michael and his wife, Donna of Kanawha, Iowa; William and his wife, Trina of Slaton, Texas; Daniel and his wife, Rene of Kanawha, Iowa; Eugene and his wife, Dorothy Abels of Eagle Grove, Iowa; two sisters: Dorothy and her husband, Richard Berleen of Webster City, Iowa; Rosemond Abels of Kanawha, Iowa; and four grandchildren, who he enjoyed very much.
