E.W. “Bill” Schumpp, age 72, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Clarion, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, 602 North Main St, in Clarion.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home before the funeral service.
Edward William Schumpp was born on March 30, 1931 to Edward A. and Mayme (Rier) Schumpp in Clarion, Iowa. He was raised in the Clarion and Harcourt areas graduating from Harcourt High School in 1950. He farmed in the Gowrie and Harcourt areas for most of his adult life and enjoyed raising cattle.
Bill was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Bill is survived by his uncle, Walter Schumpp of Mason City; and 3 cousins, Betty Rumme of Des Moines, Beverly Melhus and her husband Kenny of Eagle Grove and Bob Rier and his wife Pauline of Clarion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
