Obituary
Eva Violet Lemmon, 77, passed away, Thursday, May 26, 1994, at her home in Britt, Iowa.
Eva, the daughter of George and Anna Marie (Handahl) Smith, was born August 15, 1916, in Millbank, South Dakota. The family then moved to Kalo, Iowa where Eva attended school.
Eva was united in marriage with Harold B. Lemmon at Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1937. The couple made their home near Fort Dodge after their marriage. They then moved to a farm in Northern Iowa in 1960. In March of 1976 Mr. Lemmon passed away. Eva then moved to Ankeny where she made her home. She then moved to Britt on Memorial Day in 1993. Eva loved all of her family very much. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ankeny, Iowa, and was also a member of T.O.P.S. in Britt for many years.
Survivors include her sons: Harold M. and his wife, Jean, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Larry and his wife, Judy, Britt, Iowa; Mervin and his wife, Gloria, Fairchild, Wisconsin; Rodney and his wife, Kathy, Springfield, Missouri; a son-in-law, Ron Warner, Ankeny, Iowa; twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, a infant sister, and a daughter, Rosalie.
