Frank Meindert Meyer, 77, of Britt, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 7, 2000 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.
Frank, the son of Willie and Maude (Hennings) Meyer was born March 28, 1923 near Wesley, Iowa. He attended country school in the Wesley area. Frank farmed with his parents near Wesley until his marriage.
Frank was united in marriage with Verna Edwards on October 30, 1947 in Elmore, Minnesota. The couple farmed near Wesley for a time, later moving to a farm near Titonka. In 1958, they moved to a farm near Corwith where they resided for 31 years. The couple retired in 1989 and moved to Britt. Verna passed away on December 8, 1998.
Frank was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Corwith.
Frank is survived by his children Cindy VanDusseldorp and her husband, Larry of Britt, Dave Meyer and his wife, Carlene of Britt, Melinda Wickert and her husband, Jon of Granada, Minnesota, Dawn Gray and her husband, Terry of Marshalltown, and Sandy Smidt and her husband Bruce of Kanawha.
