Fred W. Henken Jr., 63, passed away Monday, December 28, 1992, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
Fred, the son of Fred and Della (Spear) Henken, was born May 7, 1929 at Titonka, Iowa.
He was united in marriage with Janice Oppedal on April 15, 1961 in Garner, Iowa. He worked at Winnebago Industries for 23 years, retiring in 1989. He was an active member of the American Legion Post of Crystal Lake and the Calvary Lutheran Church. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Ruth and her husband Harold Wheeler; a brother-in-law: Vincent Kirshbaum.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Henken of Crystal Lake, Iowa; a daughter: Jennifer and husband, Steven Kloberdanz of Bolingbrook, Illinois; two sons: Jeffery and wife, Andrea Henken of Sachsenhausen, Germany; Jason and wife, Heather Henken of Woden, Iowa; two sisters: Gladys Kirschbaum of Crystal Lake, Iowa; Katherine and husband LuVerne Helland of Sun Lakes, Arizona; a brother: Gerd Henken and wife Betty of Miller, Iowa and two grandchildren: Christina and Lisa of Sachsenhausen, Germany.
