So sorry to hear of the passing of Gene , he is now with Betty. Sorry we were unable to make the funeral as we were in Florida on vacation at my brothers. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Love the idea of memorial to the fair, we will be doing that .

Very sorry for your loss. Gene was a good tenant on the farm for many years and was greatly missed when he and Betty moved to town. I just found out about his passing today otherwise I would have been at the funeral to pay my respects. Sincerely, Steve Michels

Hi Debbie & Denny. couldn't make the visitation this morning, I've Had a terrible head cold with so much sneezing etc and sure didn't want to expose anyone to such. I am so sorry you've lost your last parent. It puts us in the older generation where I've been for so long. Hope all is well with the rest of your family, All seems to be well with my family now. Mike & Lori, both daughters and all their kids have all gone thru covid, some having it more than once-only last baby girl 3 1/2 has avoided it. Love to you, Jean

To the Elston Family: I am so sorry to hear about Gene's passing. I always enjoyed see and talking to him, and he would always put a smile on your face. He as a true friend, and like they said, never would hesitate to offer a lending hand. I will always remember that laugh of his, and the smile he had on his face. Always remember the good times you had with him.

Deb and family, So so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad but I understand the relief of knowing that he is not suffering from dementia any longer and the pain it caused to you all during this long journey. I have many fond memories of your Dad (& Mom) when I stayed with you, Deb. Take care of each other and move slowly and remember him fondly! Love you, always,… Audrey Quick

Deb and Denny Alot of good memories of Gene when he worked for Wright County Implement, great sense of humor and expressive language. Great that he had such a full life.
