Obituary
Harvey Benson, 87, passed away Friday, June 24, 1994, at the Belmond Community Hospital in Belmond, Iowa.
Harvey, the son of Peter and Agusta (Nelson) Benson, was born June 29, 1907 in Kanawha, Iowa. He attended rural school near Kanawha and Kanawha High School.
On February 22, 1930 he was united in marriage with Irene A. Larson. They farmed 1 1/2 miles east of Kanawha, until he retired in 1972. Since then they spent quite a bit of time in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Irene, and one daughter, Pat Melson and her husband, Gene of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
