Obituary
Jennie Ganseveld, 88, the daughter of Klass and Fannie (Abbas) Ganseveld was born in Britt, Hancock County, Iowa on December 12, 1911. As a child she and her family lived in the rural areas of Britt, Hutchins, Crystal Lake, Dumont, and Nora Springs, Iowa. Jennie attended the rural country schools. She lived most her adult life in the family home in Britt, Iowa.
For many years Jennie worked as a cook in the S&S Cafe and Wilson's Cafe.
Jennie enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Her special joy was her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the family get togethers.
Due to failing health Jennie entered the Westview Care Center in Britt in January 2000. On Sunday, October, 15, 2000 Jennie entered Mercy Medical Center in Mason City. She slipped into eternal life there on Thursday, October 19, 2000.
Jennie was preceded in death her her daughter Loretta and her son Harold; her parents; nine brothers, Bill, George, Dan, Pete, Staffer, Nick, John, Fred, and Klaus; six sisters, Anna, Grace, Minnie, twin sisters Fannie and Nancy and an infant sister.
Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Beverly Boomgarden and her husband, Marvin, Renwick, Iowa; grandchildren, Brenda Paschke and husband Rod, Webster City, Iowa, Kevin Ganseveld and wife, Mary, Forest City, Carl Anderson and wife Marcelina, Kanawha, Iowa, John Ganseveld and wife, Kelly, Klemme, Iowa; Great-grandchildren, Chad Wood, Webster City, Iowa, Larissa and Zachary Ganseveld, Forest City, Iowa, Jelyn Anderson, Iowa City, Iowa, Jhema, Kerri, Maria Anderson, Kanawha, Iowa, Jacob Ganseveld, Klemme, Iowa and many many nieces, nephews, and friends.
